Artwork Requirements

SUBMITTING ARTWORK via E-MAIL, DISK, FTP or NEGATIVE/POSITIVE

Please follow these guidelines when submitting electronic artwork. If manipulation of the artwork is necessary, art charges may be incurred at $1.33 per minute, $10 min.

SOFTWARE

We use a Macintosh system with the following software:

• Adobe Illustrator 10
• Photoshop 7
• PageMaker 6.5
• CorelDraw 8
• Macro Media Freehand 8
• QuarkXpress 5

* PC artwork must also use the above mentioned software

FILE TRANSFER METHODS

• Disk:

  we accept: 3.5" floppy, 100MG Zip, 250MG Zip, or CD

• Email:

  File size maximum is 2MB; if it is a compressed file it must be self extracting or be able to be extracted using Stuffit™ Expander. Address e-mail orders as follows:

  Deadline--Orders need to be received by 10:30 a.m. (CST) for same-day shipment. Orders received after that time will be shipped on the following business day.

  Rush service is available, please call customer service for more information.

• FTP:

  using an Internet connection, FTP the file to ftp.mm.com (use the name success2 and the password phoydo)

  For FTP software such as Fetch 3.0.3, Bullet Proof 2.0 or FTP Now 2.0, download the necessary software from www.download.com

Please…

• Make sure your name & company name are included with a telephone number to contact you if necessary.
• Include the software name, version and file name.
• Include only the art involved with your order.
• Send art to size & as black and white.
• Convert all fonts to outlines/curves.
• Flatten image so there are no multiple layers.
• Set all multiple art patterns in a straight vertical line.
• Scan all images at a minimum of 300 dpi.
• Include 1 point crop marks 1/2" away from copy or indicate that the crops are set for a custom size.
• Fax or enclose a copy of how the art is to appear to ensure that the order is fulfilled correctly. Orders received without a fax or photocopy will be produced exactly as they are received and appear.

FILM PREPARATION

Wrong reading die (raised copy) - negative, emulsion up
Right reading die (raised copy) - negative, emulsion down
Wrong reading die (recessed copy) - positive, emulsion up
